A common misconception is that long distance relationships can’t work, but just because they’re difficult doesn’t mean they’re impossible; in many ways it just makes the relationship stronger. I never really believed that a long distance relationship could work either, until I got into one with a girl I love with every piece of me humanly possible. The best thing about it is you get to learn more about the person every day; and day by day, you gradually fall in love with their personality just a little bit more as the days go by.
I love my girlfriend even though I haven’t met her yet, and that’s fine, because I know it will be perfect the day that I do, and I can wait for that day for as long as it takes. People spend too much time getting into relationships just for the sake of it, and I honestly can’t stand codependent people. You either love someone or you don’t; and I know I do. I’ve waited for someone perfect to come along all my life, and just because I met them online doesn’t mean they can’t be everything I’ve ever wanted.
I just felt like ranting because in the past few days I have been thinking about how strong my girlfriend and I’s relationship has been to cope with not seeing each other every day, and we still love each other as much as a couple who do see each other every day. Anything is possible, sometimes when you’re not looking for something, you find it. And I’m not planning on letting my girlfriend go any time soon, things can only go up from here.
